MacDo opens on three flags and three buttons — English, Deutsch, Svenska — and then gets on with being a puzzle game.
The trilingual opening is the thing worth noticing. Between this, Bub And Bob's six languages and Sapiens' French-and-English, a pattern emerges: European Macintosh shareware authors expected an audience that did not share their language and did something about it.

MacDo does not carry its own operating system; Mac OS 8.6 comes from the shared image, so it starts faster if you have already opened another Mac OS 8 title.
Why it is here
Localisation as a courtesy. Three languages in a free puzzle game is unpaid work done because the author thought it was right, which is a fair summary of the whole shareware ethos.
It is a version 1.0.4. Not a first release, not an abandoned experiment — somebody shipped it and then fixed things four times.
Preservation is the point. MacDo was never famous and never will be. It exists in a runnable state because an archive kept the file, and that is reason enough for it to be here.
